Rhythm &
Resonance:
Voices of the Plaza
Where poetry, music, visual art, and community came together.
August 8, 2026
Wyandanch Plaza, New York
The Experience
Rhythm & Resonance: Voices of the Plaza was a vibrant, community-centered celebration of arts, culture, and expression in the heart of Wyandanch. The event brought neighbors together for a memorable evening of live jazz, spoken word, visual art, and hands-on community participation.
Presented by Share Inform Enlighten (SIE), the program created a welcoming space for local talent, creative exchange, and community pride. Audiences enjoyed powerful performances by poets Emma Desulme, Mandy Wagnac, and Blupoetres, a dynamic set from New York Jazz Force, and music throughout the evening by Legendary DJ Belal.
Visual artist Andres Gallardo Jr. brought the plaza to life with live painting, inviting community participation and reflection.
The event was made possible in partnership with the Wyandanch Plaza Association and the Town of Babylon, whose support helped create opportunities for arts, culture, and community engagement.
The story of the painting continues! Prints of Andres Gallardo Jr.’s Rhythm & Resonance artwork are planned for release soon, offering an opportunity to own a piece of this community-created experience while supporting Share Inform Enlighten.
