Share Inform Enlighten is proud to announce that the Write Rhyme Recite Collective Poetry Slam Scholarship is officially open for submissions!

We invite high school seniors who have a passion for poetry, spoken word, or creative expression to apply for this unique scholarship opportunity. Each year, we celebrate young voices who use their words to inspire, uplift, challenge, and tell powerful stories.

Who Can Apply?

Long Island, Queens, and Brooklyn high school seniors graduating in 2026 who are interested in sharing an original poem or spoken word performance.

​

What You’ll Need:

• An original written or spoken word piece

• A video performance of your poem

• A completed application form

 

Selected finalists will perform at the Write Rhyme Recite Collective on April 25, 2026 at the Art League of Long Island in Dix Hills, NY, where scholarship recipients will be announced.
